Antecedents and Outcomes of Nurses' Emotional Intelligence in Indonesia

Abstract
his study aims to analyze the antecedents and outcomes of nurses' Emotional Intelligence in Indonesia. Emotional Intelligence includes the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions as well as the emotions of others. This study uses a literature review method by collecting references from various relevant journals and books. From the search results, 210 journals were found related to the topic. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 150 journals remained, and 30 journals that met the criteria were selected. The results indicate that there are several variables that influence the antecedents of nurses' Emotional Intelligence, including affective commitment, desire, trust, beliefs, credibility, accountability, communication, and training. The outcomes of Emotional Intelligence include conflict management, work commitment, performance, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), work stress, caring behavior, interpersonal communication, service quality, burnout, leadership style, resilience, anxiety, loyalty, motivation, focus, work-life quality, job satisfaction, work engagement, emotional performance, supervision, and discipline. These outcome variables are influenced by Emotional Intelligence.
